A few tips:

** Search engines dont search in identification (except in the Identification tag) and locality. So any ecological or habit or habitat notes go best under "description": these appear in the observation under the picture. It is useful to put some stuff in the location details if it helps to find the plant (does not usually apply to animals - better under "description" as it is useful to people other than those hunting the beasts).
** This is not documented, but iSpot records the location resolution (how accurate the central position is recorded [note that this is different to how certain the location was, although ideally one should combine ones uncertainty and should never have a resolution finer than the certainty]); this is done by the number of significant figures, so one decimal place is 10km, two is 1km, three is 100m etc. In the map function you can zoom in on the locality and the total size of the image determines the accuracy (so if you can see all of South Africa it will be very vague (no decimal places); if you can see every bush on the image it will be very accurate (4-6 decimal places). Note that many GPS's are not so discriminating and will add on meaningless decimal places, so that it may give you 6 decimal places (potential resolution of 1m) for a resolution of 1km.
