Afrocarpus falcatus dt
Afrocarpus falcatus dt

Dioecious, tall tree, 20--60 m. Leaves narrowly lanceolate to linear-elliptic, twisted at base, 20--40 2--6 mm. Seeds borne on scaly or leafy stalks, yellow to brown, without a fleshy arillode.

I thought this genus had been changed to Afrocarpus. Cape Plants has it as that, but the dictionary only comes up with Podocarpus.

Dictionary

Hmmm
This was not posted under dictionary queries, so remains Podocarpus instead of Afrocarpus for another year at least.

duplicate IDs

Why have you posted a duplicate ID? Please "I agree" to the first correct Scientific name.

But at least now all our Podocarpus falcatus are "Likely ID" Afrocarpus!

Spello!

"fulcatus" in your ID.

dictionary!

urrghh - should use the dictionary! If I have done this I am likely to have several such errors!

Oh dear

Sounds like you could be human. ;)

Leaves

Are these leaves not too long and slender for P.falcatus?
