When mature a floppy much-branched shrub to 2 m. Younger plants tend to have a hemispherical shape as in this loclaity. Leaves 3-foliolate. Flowers pale lemon with purple nectar patch. Nov.–Mar. Renosterbos-fynbos scrub, mountain fynbos, dry slopes, 760–1260 m (Richtersveld, Kamiesberg to Bokkeveld and Matsikamma Mts).
