Description: Hairy spider about 1 cm in diameter. One was spotted in the cupboard above the coffee mugs and was sadly flushed down the toilet apparently. This one was spotted in the garden and I encouraged it to hide in the foliage lest it follow its friend into the sewer. It produced quite a lot of webbing as it walked around and seemed to track me quite fast, climbing onto the camera once. It walked around rather than jumping, so I don't think it's a kind of Salticidae. Any suggestions?

Description: small crab spider that did a Miss Muffet from an upper branch of the thorn tree and ended up suspended in front of my nose. This spider was missing a leg but I recall reading somewhere that 7 legs does not noticeably disadvantage a spider.

Description: hairy, pale brown jumping spider, about 4mm in length and with a striking black and white pattern on the dorsal side of the cephalothorax plus fine black "horns" on either side of his super-large eyes; there was also a less obvious pattern along the centreline of the abdomen. This spider was living among the thorn tree flowers

Description: Body length about 8mm (without legs). Many of them around now, in the cup of a single leaf or multiple leaves. Untidy silk strands look like they're used to stabilise the leafy platform or to curl up the leaf edges.

Description: Spotted this was grappling with a spider on the ground. The wasp seemed to be repeatedly stinging the spider while on the ground and then started dragging it up the wall - seems to have eventually given up but spider was killed in the process
