Description: Impossible to get a decent shot of these speedy shade-loving lurkers - except when they're trapped against a window. And even then they refuse to reveal their dark upperwings

Description: Wingspan about 70mm
Seen interacting with another African Monarch (third pic) whilst in flight.
Noticably paler than the usual rich colours in other specimens. A different form or simply a tired, worn-out old dog?

Description: I lost my glasses on the trail, so could not see properly, but this critter seems to be rubbing fluffy forelegs vigorously below the mouth. I dont know if it was grooming, or releasing a pheromone or something else entirely, but it would sit for a few minutes vibrate, walk around, vibrate, fly off to a perch about 100m-1m away and repeat the process.
The sun was bright enough to see that there were only four legs, so I presume the fluffy vibrating things were forelegs, but as I said I was half blind.
It ignored the pea flowers when walking around.

Description: Sorry about the focus, but these guys are just far too fast.
