Hippos spend daytime in the water.For feeding they requires grasslands and will move several kilometres away from water every night to reach grazing areas.

Description: Hippos have 4 toes,2 in the front of the foot and 2 on the side.Circular spoor with 4 round toe prints visible.Size about 25x25 cm. The dung is clearly that of a herbivore and is scattered around.

Description: The Bryde's whale is a baleen whale, more specifically a rorqual belonging to the same group as blue whales and humpback whales. It has twin blowholes with a low splashguard to the front. Like other rorquals, it has no teeth, but has two rows of baleen plates.

Description: at least 8 m long, must have been dead for quite a while. a very high tide must have thrown the carcass that far up the beach - way beyond the rocks of the shore.
