Locality in the Mediterranean

Hi Armata,

This and possibly other observations are incorrectly mapped. Most commonly this is because a minus sign (-) has been omitted from the latitude. You can fix it by editing the observation. To do so, click the 'Edit' tab at the top of the observation, scroll down to where you see the locality details (under 'Give the location') and check that they are correct. In particular, the latitude must be negative in the southern hemisphere (e.g. -33.4251). Then click on the Save button at the bottom. Please check the Localities page if you are unsure.

Please also go to your MySpot and look at Map (http://ispot.org.za/myspot/map): this will show you where all your observations are. Click on any observations that are in the wrong place and please fix their coordinates. Check again afterwards!

Thanks for your assistance, it helps us maintain good data standards and ensures that iSpot is a useful scientific resource!
