Common Slugeater

Brown snake with yellowish belly and fork tongue
Found this small brown snake crossing the road at Kalk Bay. I know its not of the venomous species. Could you please assist in identifying?

The little guy is non-poisonous and those mentioned are 2 defence startegies it employs.
The habit of rolling up and hiding its head gave rise to one of its Afrikaans common names - tabak-rolletjie (sp?).
Handy to have in the garden as they eat snails.
