Description: Termite with a rounded head with antennae with 23-31 segments. The underground nest consists of several hives made of faecal carton interconnected with wide passages. Workers pursue any non-woody material containing cellulose so crops, lawns, sports fields are prone to attack and they also can infest buildings, especially those made of material like clay mortar.

Description: Came from Dirk Miller's garden on a bouquet of Camelias. After reassuring the wife that it was purely a natural roach and nothing to worry about, it turned up in the bread bin the next day, and "had to be" dispatched.

Description: A very unstable slope. Lots of loose scree despite a very good cover of vegetation. This mound appears to have rollen over: the basal rocks are now on top, the cone-shaped base is pointing about 40* off vertical. Whatever the cause, it has not bothered the 'mites and they have just grown and new base and life goes on.

Description: Saw her lying dead in the bathroom over a day ago. Today decided to take a photo to sex her, and she kicked! She had been lying in the same place, too weak to move, for ages. What a cruel way to die. The effects of insecticide perhaps?
