Description: Tufted perennial to 15 cm. Leaves ovate, occ. elliptic, margins ciliate. Flowers in elongate, pedunculate spike-like clusters, tubuslar, subsessile, white to cream.

Description: Initially thought these were baby C. hemisphaerica but they are clearly adult and flowering, but without the humped appearance. Very small patch of plants on steep side of rocky runoff channel down mountain kloof. I have no clue where I got the name compacta from - maybe I saw it on iSpot... EDIT found it in Pooley strangely enough, but now that I look again, I don't think it's right.
