Description: Not quite sure how to classify this. Clearly it is not a leopard, nor a leopard product (except in an indirect way).
But given its function, lets call it a Leopard ...

Description: Several scat on dirt road of Helderberg Nature Reserve low down near the Curator's Cottage.
Had short porcupine quills and what seemed to be an animals paw.
Scat had short porcupine quills and what seemed to be an animals paw. Cape Leopard Trust suggest that means its more likely Leopard and not Caracul. “Leopards eat almost everything. It is common to find their scats near a kill with a hoof inside it, or quills, in the case of when porcupine are eaten.” http://capeleopard.org.za/news-and-media/news/item/456-children-help-with-predator-research

Description: The highlight of the night drive?
Except that lions a 2 a penny in Kalahari! I was hoping for Aardvark, Hyaenas, and night animals. We did see a Genet and some Springhares: unfortunately faaaaaaaaaar to far away to photograph.
Still these two females kept us entertained for over 20 minutes. Just walking and resting. Is the one on the left perhaps pregnant?

Description: Day 2 of Lion by eland kill.
Lion asleep and all calm. At least 25 BB Jackals strewn over the landscape lying down asleep.
At about 7h55 a Brown Hyaena appeared, walked into view and smelled the area from about 100m away.
The Lion was up like a shot, moved his kill 20m, and was surrounded by the Jackal who stayed about 20m from him, but moved into where the kill was. Lion did not like it and went to where the kill was and proceeded to cover was stayed behind (some guts and skin) with sand.
