Description: Hypoxis hemerocallidea, the African potato, with its characteristic leaf arrangement clearly visible in this photo. Several species of Hypoxis grow in the area, The bright star-shaped yellow flowers are striking. They survive fire, but sadly not vigorous harvesting by muti industry.
