Horny protuberance on the abdomen resembling the bark of trees and lichen. Legs covered with hair. They construct a large orb web at dusk which is dismantled at dawn. These photos were taken at 9.00am. The spider was in the centre of the web when I first saw it, but quickly retreated to hide next to the leaves caught on the bridge line.
